Hi my name is Kylar,

I play defense on the Phoenix Polar Bear Squirt travel team in Chandler, Arizona. My Dad is one of my coaches. My older brother Trent, who plays on the AA Peewee Firebirds, also helps me out during practices. I am 10 years old and I Love Hockey.

Hockey started for me back in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario where snow and ice were a part of my winters. I was first introduced to hockey by watching “Hockey Night in Canada” every Saturday night when I was like a baby…it’s a tradition back in Canada. I first learned how to skate in my backyard- my Dad would make a rink every year. I remember skating for hours out there shooting the puck around with Trent trying to make the same plays as players like Stevie Y. Sometimes we would drop the gloves like Bob Probert and my Dad would be the referee. When we were done I would go inside and my Mom would have hot chocolate waiting for me. From that moment on I’ve loved playing hockey and this is my third year of travel hockey.

I am a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings and love going to NHL games. Hockey is my life and I enjoy playing it every moment I have. I see myself doing this for a very long time.
