Hi. My name is Daniel and I love sports. You might ask “Why hockey in Arizona?” Well, I moved to Arizona from Minnesota two years ago. If you play sports in Minnesota then you play hockey. I was 4 ½ for my first hockey practice in Shakopee, MN. I left the ice crying that first day because my helmet was too tight. After my Dad bought me a new helmet it has been nothing but fun.

This is my 3rd year playing traveling hockey. I played on the Polar Bear Mite team the last two years. We won the Grand Canyon State Championship both years. I usually play right wing but I’ll play wherever the coach puts me. I wear #87 because that’s the only jersey they had available when we moved here. We had a great year so I figured it was good luck.

I was 11 months old when I went to my first professional hockey game to see the Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC. I even made it on the jumbo-tron. I like a lot of NHL teams (Coyotes, Wild, and Bruins) but my favorite right now is the Blackhawks. Did you see them win the Stanley Cup? AWESOME!

Fund-raising is really important for my sport. I don’t know if is is because trying to keep ice frozen in Phoenix is hard but it is… This season we will be playing teams from all over and we will be traveling too. So please consider helpin out even just a little for my TEAM.
